My athletic career started at 6 years old, when my mom found me in the living room doing a split. She signed me up for gymnastics the next day….and the rest was history. I was always a one sport girl – but also grew up skiing in New Hampshire and doing “ski ballet” (flips on skis w. poles). As a Senior in High School, I placed 2nd on Floor in Nationals and earned the Title “Massachusetts Gymnast of the Year.” I went on to earn a DI Gymnastics Scholarship to Rutgers University, where I broke the school record on balance beam.
After college, I was lucky to meet my husband (yes! we met at a bar on the Jersey Shore) and married in 1999. I became a 4th and 6th grade teacher and two years after marriage, we welcomed two awesome boys…who both do wods at home and ask me about my daily wod at the dinner table. My love of CrossFit started in 2009 and I became addicted immediately. I earned my Level 1 and CrossFit Gymnastics certifications and finally had an excuse to be in handstands all day!
I qualified for Regionals as an individual 3 consecutive years, most recently, placing 17th in the Mid-Atlantic Regional Open. I look forward to being a “Masters” competitor and proud to be a mother of two boys entering my 40’s and in the best shape of my life.Highlights
